Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Appoints Linsey Former President & CEO
LOWELL, Mass. — August 17, 2026 — The Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce (GLCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Linsey Former as President & CEO, effective August 23, 2026. The appointment follows a six-month interim period during which Former has led the organization as Interim President & CEO.
The GLCC Board of Directors voted to formally appoint Former to the permanent role, recognizing her leadership, commitment to the Chamber’s members, and vision for the continued growth of the organization and the Greater Lowell business community.
Former first joined the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce in June 2023 as Member Engagement Coordinator, where she focused on strengthening member relationships, expanding engagement opportunities, supporting programming, and ensuring businesses and nonprofits throughout the region felt connected and supported.
In February 2026, Former stepped into the role of Interim President & CEO following the departure of longtime President & CEO Danielle McFadden. Over the past six months, she has worked alongside the Chamber’s Board of Directors, members, community partners, and regional leaders to guide the organization through its leadership transition while continuing to strengthen programming, partnerships, and opportunities for the Greater Lowell business community.
“Serving as Interim President & CEO over the past six months has only deepened my appreciation for our members and the incredible business community we have here in Greater Lowell,” said Former. “I’m incredibly grateful to the Board for their confidence in me and excited for the opportunity to continue leading an organization that I care so deeply about. I look forward to building on the Chamber’s strong foundation, finding new ways to deliver value to our members, and ensuring the GLCC continues to be a connector, resource, and champion for businesses throughout our region.
“I am delighted to congratulate Linsey Former on being named President & CEO of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce,” says Vichtcha “Vee” Kong, Chair of the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “During the last six months as Interim President & CEO, she has guided the organization with professionalism, energy, and a genuine passion for serving our business community. Her steady leadership has already made a meaningful impact, and I am confident her official appointment will usher in an exciting new chapter for the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce and its members.”
As President & CEO, Former will continue to lead the Chamber’s efforts to support its members, strengthen regional partnerships, expand opportunities for connection and collaboration, and advance the GLCC’s role as a leading voice for the Greater Lowell business community.
