Greater Lowell Spirit Week

Join us as we celebrate our community pride with a socially distanced spirit week!

This event is a partnership between the Chamber, City of Lowell and EforAll, Lowell Plan and the LDFC (want to join in on the fun? Email Danielle!).

Let’s flood our newsfeeds with positivity and show everyone why Greater Lowell is such an amazing place to live, work, play and go to school! How do I show my Greater Lowell Spirit?

  1. Attend: Go to the Facebook Event and select Going. Invite your friends or share the event on your page.
  2. Participate: Throughout Greater Lowell Spirit Week post each day using the prompts below on your Social Media sites. Use hashtag #GreaterLowellSpirit so everyone can see your spirit. You can also post each day under the post the Chamber creates here.
  3. Have Fun!: Get creative, involve your children, grandchildren, coworkers, school, church, etc.

Here are the Greater Lowell Spirit Week Themes!

Sunday, May 3rd – Celebrating Students Sunday

Post a photo of your student(s) and a little about them! Where do they go to school? Are they graduating? What is their favorite subject? How have they adjusted to remote learning?

(Send a free card to a student – photos and personalized message included by emailing Dot Richards.)

Monday, May 4th – Mom & Pop Shop Monday

Let’s promote our local businesses! Go to the Facebook page of a local business you frequent to leave them a review and share one of their posts on your page. Let your Facebook friends know why you LOVE this business and how we can support them during this time!

Tuesday, May 5th – Town Pride Tuesday

Show your Town {or City} Pride! Let everyone know why you love where you live! Is it your school system, neighborhood, the local park, the people?

Wednesday, May 6th – Winning Wednesday

Wear swag from your favorite sports team! Whether it is a New England team or the local little league, show it off with pride!

Thursday, May 7th – Thank You Thursday

We have so many people to thank during these times! Let’s thank our first responders, teachers, front line workers, etc. Who are you thankful for?

(Congresswoman Lori Trahan looking for local #FrontLineHeroes to feature in her Heroes Spotlight! Here’s the link to nominate someone!)

Friday, May 8th – Foodie Friday

The yummiest day of spirit week, let’s nosh on our favorite local eateries! Order takeout, post your pics and let us know the restaurants that top your list (bonus points if you head to their Facebook page to leave a review)!

Saturday, May 9th – Stay at Home Saturday

We’re all in this together! Let’s share some tips and tricks about how we are getting through quarantine with style and grace! Do you have a series you are binging on? A favorite breakfast? A fun way to connect with friends? WE WANT TO KNOW!

Please spread the word and show your #GreaterLowellSpirit!
