Now more than ever, it’s important for us to come together as a community. Social distancing, schools being shut down and businesses having to adapt to a new way of moving forward make this a time of great uncertainty.
Please join us as we come together to offer Community Read-Alongs and Career Days virtually for all Greater Lowell area youth! Not only will this offer exposure for your business/organization but it also helps youth stay connected (AND we’re sure all the parents who are home with their kids will appreciate it)!
COMMUNITY READ-ALONG
Simply record a video of you reading a book aloud and post it here on the Facebook event page. Please include the following with your post:
- Your Name
- Business/Organization you represent
- Name of Book
- An Idea of a Fun Thing Kids Can Do While School is Out
If you are able to, please email your video to Danielle so she can upload it to the Chamber’s YouTube page.
(Anyone can participate in these virtual events so if you have a child that wants to post a video of them reading, please do!)
VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR
Simply record a video of you talking about your job and post it here on the Facebook event page. Things we recommend including in the video:
- Name
- Business/Organization you represent
- Your title/role within the Business/Organization
- What your role entails
- Your background – any college degree(s) you have, the path you took to get you to your current role
- If you are open to students contacting you to learn more
- Interesting facts about you – your family, hobbies, a favorite book or TV series, etc.
