POSITION SUMMARY
The Appraisal Specialist orders all appraisal engagements and residential appraisal reviews in support of our consumer, mortgage, and commercial lending efforts. Additionally, this role provides timely and accurate support to the Credit Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes all appraisal engagements from Mortgage and Commercial Lending Departments; scans all appraisal information into electronic archives
- Performs Residential Appraisal Reviews; assigns and follows up on Appraisal Report reviews performed by Bank employees or 3rd party review appraisers
- Maintains all files for the Bank’s Approved Appraisers and Attorneys Lists, including but not limited to collection of data and submission of approval requests to the AVP, Credit Administration for review and presentation to Management Loan Committee; monitors records and notifications as needed for updated information, follows up with vendors regarding receipt of updated and outstanding required information
- Maintains and monitors the Bank’s Appraisal Log to ensure timely processing of appraisal reports in accordance with projected closing date requirements; follows up with appraisers to ensure the Bank, Loan Officers, Mortgage Processors, and borrowers are aware of any potential delays or issues with outstanding engagements
- Maintains the Bank’s relationship with existing appraisers to continue open and effective communication and timely responses

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of banking experience preferred, including knowledge of Fiserv DNA
System
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and most importantly Excel
- Willingness and aptitude to learn new systems as required to support Bank growth and expansion
of services
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships; team player with exceptional customer-service skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to change
- Must be willing and able to report to Headquarters in Tewksbury five days a week
