Summary of Position
It is the responsibility of the Business Development Associate (BDA) to find companies and contacts for TEK Stainless Piping Products. The BDA makes proactive outbound calls to pursue leads that are provided by management, industry reports or research. The BDA maintains and enhances customer relationships and is persistent in establishing connections with key members of corporations that have decision-making authority in order to meet activity goals and sales objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the position of Business Development Associate. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
* Proactively make a minimum of 45 calls per day to generate new prospects.
* Profile customer by gathering information such as who decision makers are and their titles, market segment, level of potential, and any current or future projects.
* Establish connections with decision-making authorities and attain appointments for outside sales representatives.
* Sell and promote product and value added services to new customers using needs analysis, value based, and consultative techniques.
* Enter relevant data and nurture leads in Salesforce database on all communication with current and potential customers, which includes quotes, current needs, and reasons for not scheduling appointments if the customer is not interested in TEK products.
* Discover new opportunities for Inside & Outside Sales Team.
* Assist in research, identification, and implementation of new products, customers, and programs to enhance annual profitability.
* Chart and track efforts for new business in relation to goals set by management.
* Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement by communicating effectively with Inside Sales Representatives, Outside Sales Representatives, and management.
* Provide monthly progress in development of new customers.
Required Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Two years’ experience in marketing or related field
* Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
* Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and persistent
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to analyze, track, and maintain accountabilities
* Excellent organizational, problem solving skills, and time management skills
* Ability to effectively multi-task
* Creative, forward thinker
* Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
* Four year college degree in business or related area
* Four years of experience in sales and marketing
* Experience with Salesforce

Working Conditions
Good working conditions. Frequent visual/auditory attention and involvement in discussions requiring reconciliation of adverse points-of-view. Requires continuous use of telephone to receive and give information.
