Academy of Notre Dame Prepares for November 2nd High School Open House
TYNGSBORO, MA – On Sunday, November 2nd, the Academy of Notre Dame will host the second of two high school open houses this fall geared toward 7th and 8th grade young women and their families.
This is an opportunity for families to meet the administration, get specific questions answered one-on-one with the faculty, and tour the classrooms and athletic facilities accompanied by the young women currently enrolled in the Academy. It is also a chance for potential students to have candid conversations with our current students about teachers, clubs, sports, student life, and what day to day life is like here at the Academy. The admissions office will be available to field any questions concerning the admissions process.
“For more than twenty years I have been an advocate for single sex education; especially, for young women at the high school level,” said Academy President, Maureen Appel. “Open House presents the opportunity to talk about the benefits of an all girls’ school and more importantly, show how the Academy offers exceptional programs to enable our students to actualize their fullest potential in and out of the classroom,” she added.
Those attending this particular open house will see Fine Arts and Mission and Ministry in action. The Academy’s Liturgical Dancers will be in Our Lady’s Chapel, while the Drama Guild will be rehearsing in the auditorium for their winter performance. The student-run Student Council store will also be open for anyone who is interested in purchasing spirit wear.
The Academy of Notre Dame Open House will run from 12 noon until 3:00 PM. For more information or to pre-register, please visit www.ndatyngsboro.org/openhouses or call the Enrollment and Marketing office at 978-649-7611, Ext. 337.
