The MassHire Lowell Career Center Summer Work Experience Program aims to employ 230 young adults between 14 and 24 years of age who are in need of career exploration and hands on work experience. The program operates with the help of local area partner sites who sign up to host a participant or multiple participants. The majority of our current partners are a combination of community organizations and public offices. This year we are looking to engage more private sector employers who are interested in gaining help for the summer and passing along some technical work skills to local youth.
Hosting an intern is absolutely free for our partner sites, we pay the wages and associated payroll costs for all of the participants and offer a training for worksites and weekly check ins.
