Meet our W.I.S.E. Panelist: Deputy Superintendent Deborah Friedl

Deputy Superintendent Deborah Friedl: I was born and raised in the City of Lowell and attended schooling there from elementary education through college.  I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration in Criminal Justice and Psychology as well as a Master of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice.  I have served as a police officer with the Lowell Police Department for 27 years having spent much of my career as a detective and supervisor working with victims of crime.  I am presently the Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of Support Services which includes all divisions of the department other than patrol and traffic.  I have also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Women Police for the past 12 years. I am also presently serving as a member of the Adjunct Faculty at UMass Lowell.  Personally, I am the mother of an incredible eight year old daughter with whom I share a love for travel.
