Yom Kippur Family Service
September 19, 2018
In the tradition of Congregation Shalom’s founding families, our High Holiday services are open to members and non-members alike, no tickets needed. Observe Yom Kippur amid the affirming support of our diverse Jewish community. This Family Service is designed for families with children in grades 2 through 6. Led by Rabbi Shoshana Perry, with Meryl Gold as Cantorial Soloist, this service uses a prayerbook for children from 8 to 12 years old. It will use traditional melodies and maintain a sense of sacredness but will have a shorter sermon that speaks to all members of the family. Please note that This service is not for younger children, who are very welcome at the afternoon Young Children’s Service.
Go to the event web page listed here to read the entire schedule of High Holiday services.
If you would like to attend a service but cannot be there, tune into our live stream on the Worship page of the Congregation Shalom website (www.congregationshalom.org/worship-2/).
To request special needs seating, handicapped parking, or use of a listening device for one or more services, please email ritual@congregationshalom.org with the specific services and the special need.
