On September 15 Chamber of Commerce Member AutoFair Nissan of Chelmsford will join in the celebration of  National Drive Electric Week to promote the fun and environmental benefits of driving electric vehicles. Electric car owners from all over Northeast Massachusetts will gather at the iconic Heritage Farm to meet the public, show off their cars, and share the experience of driving electric. The Merrimack Valley Sierra Club and Plug-In America have partnered to produce this event. It is being organized by a volunteer group of Lowell residents. Test drives and rides of a variety of models will be provided by our participating dealers without the salesroom pressure. Attendees can talk to local EV owners about costs, maintenance, charging time, range, and government incentives and discounts. Nissan Leaf has partnered with the Sierra Club, Plug-In America, and the Electric Auto Association to present this event. AutoFair Nissan will offer test drives and demo rides. The event is free and open to the public.
HAVE FUN. The event will be complete with music, food, kids activities, and information tables staffed by environmental groups, electric car dealers, and EV service & equipment providers. Across the street in Heritage State Park enjoy a cultural festival, strolling along the river, swimming, biking, having a picnic, or just relaxing.
Major financing was provided by a generous grant from Plug-In America
