Lockdown Letters: Poetry Reading and Discussion–Loom Press

Author and Editor Paul Marion will read from his latest book, Lockdown Letters & Other Poems, published in spring 2021, just a year after the pandemic took hold in Massachusetts. The book opens with a sequence of unconventional sonnets shaped from email letters that Marion sent to friends in the first few months of the COVID emergency. The writing captures the disruption in our ordinary lives and the range of feelings from anxiety to anger that was common even among those who were spared the worst of the disease.

Following a 25-minute reading, Marion will engage with the audience members who have comments and questions. Please tune in and share your own stories of lockdown.
