Instructor Paul Wagner has over 34 years of automotive technician experience, including 30+ years ASE Master certified, and former GM master certified (Cadillac and Oldsmobile). He earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Associate of Science in Automotive Technology. He’s had his CH74 Automotive Teaching license since 2007 and served 10 years as the Automotive Teacher/Director for Newton North High School. Active in MA vocational technical schools, he serves as a USA Skills judge, an Automotive Advisory Board member, and a Junior Viking Summer Experience instructor (at Nashoba Tech).
Automotive Basics is a hands-on class covering the fundamentals of automotive repair! Topics include: Safety, Tools, Brakes, Engines, Electrical, Oil Changes, Tune Ups, Check Engine Lights, and more. In this class, students are encouraged to select and perform a repair on their own vehicle. Safety Equipment: work boots/shoes and long pants are required. Safety glasses will be provided for use while on-site.
