An Evening with Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini – A Program of the UMass Lowell Peace and Conflict Studies Institute

Please join UMass Lowell for an evening with Sanam Naraghi-Anderlini, as she addresses her work ranging from Security Council resolution 1325 on women and peace and security to her work establishing and running the International Civil Society Action Network. Co-founder and executive director of the International Civil Society Action Network. She has worked extensively with the United Nations, training governments and NGOs worldwide in peacemaking. From 2002 to 2005, Anderlini was director of the Women Waging Peace Policy Commission, where she directed field research on women’s contributions to conflict prevention, security and peacemaking in 12 countries. Since 2005, she has also provided strategic guidance and training to key UN agencies, the UK government and NGOs, leading a UNFPA/UNDP needs assessment into Maoist cantonment sites in Nepal.
