Be A Santa To A Senior

Home Instead Senior Care is teaming up with Local Organization and with Local Retails to sponsor Be a Santa to a Senior program. Over the past six years we have distributed thousands of gifts.

The program runs from November 10th through December 12th, 2014.

Here’s how the program, which runs:

Prior to the holiday season, participating local organizations such as Council on Aging, Housing Authority, Nurse Homes and Veterans Agency will identify lonely and financial challenge seniors in the community.. These names are given to our Office..

We are asking each merchant to set up a Christmas tree in a high traffic area and post a pre-printed program description sign next to the tree from November 10th until December 16th, 2014

Christmas trees placed in participating Local Retail Stores in the North Middlesex area will feature ornaments with the first names only of the seniors and their respective gift wish.

Holiday shoppers can pick up an ornament, buy items and return them unwrapped to the Participant Retail Store, along with the ornament attached.

Home Instead Senior Care representative will collect those gifts, matched with the senior name and wrap the items at our Wrapping Party held at Pride Star Ambulance and Chelmsford Crossings. They are then distributed to them by no later than December 20th, 2014.

Be a Santa to a Senior is a way to show our gratitude to those older adults who have contributed so much to our community. We hope to reach out to many with this gesture of holiday cheer and goodwill.

We need your help and your concern giving hearts to make this program a Successful program.
