Denise Manseau – Between Wind And Water
The Artists’ Working Group announces Denise Manseau as the next guest artist in its ongoing Speaker Series.
Manseau will talk and show slides on Tuesday, April 18th, at 7:30 pm in the ALL Gallery, 307 Market Street in Lowell.
The lecture is free and open to all.
Line, whether drawn, painted or cut, printed, traced or implied is the scaffold upon which much of Denise Manseau’s artwork is constructed.
Her paintings, drawings and cut paper structures are layered and meticulously developed to create spatial depth with a fragile presence. Her work investigates the nature of transitory relationships in the environment. The forces of the natural landscape – wind, water and time, inform and define her process.
Denise Manseau is a founding member of the Arts Research Collaboration, located on Prescott Street in Lowell, MA.
Manseau holds a BFA in studio art from U. Mass, Lowell and an MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
The Artists’ Working Group meets regularly to present topics of interest to the artists community of Lowell.
